Good Morning From Camp Ripley!

Thank you for assisting your cadet in attending the 2024 Minnesota Wing Encampment. Our goal is to give your cadets the most influential week of training of their entire Civil Air Patrol career.  This email has some important information for you while they are in training.

At the time of this writing, Encampment Cadets have already gone through hours of training in topics such as Safety, Wingman/Battle Buddy system, and Warrior Spirit Concepts. They have been given information about Military-style Customs and Courtesies as well as basic conduct and respectful procedures. They have joined their respective flights for the week and met fellow cadets with whom they will train closely and who will become their lifelong friends.

Your cadet will not be allowed to call home unless there is an emergency. However, Encampment can be a demanding experience for them as they learn the basics of cadet life, especially over the first three days. Words of encouragement and good news from home make a big difference during their time here. Please feel free to send positive notes and messages to your cadet throughout the week by using our online cadet message form<https://mncadets.cap.gov/encampment/info/send-mail-to-encampment>.  Just select the cadet from the drop-down menu, write a message, and hit send. The cut-off for same-day delivery is 12:00 p.m. (noon) each day.
