[Mankato] Weekly E-mail 8/13/20

Commander's Remarks: This week we will be having Aerospace Education and
Team Leadership Problems (TLP) as well as Unit Based Exercise planning for
Senior Members. We will be social distancing and wearing our masks in
accordance with MN Wing directives.

For those attending glider flights on Thursday, Aug. 13th, please see the
email sent out regarding those and remember the terminal building is closed
at Stanton airport, so you will be outside.  Bring sunscreen, a chair,
water, and lunch/snacks for the day.  Transportation will leave the Mankato
airport at 8 am on Thursday.  If you didn’t get signed up for these, don’t
worry, we will have these again soon!

For those that aren’t comfortable meeting in person yet, we will be live
streaming online in our regular online meeting room listed below.  The
health and safety of our members is the utmost importance to us.   We want
everyone to stay healthy and follow the MN Wing guidelines for our Phase 2
protocol which was emailed out to all members.  It is also listed on the

Orientation Flights - Mankato Airport, Tuesday, Aug 11th -

NATIONAL CONFERENCE - Aug. 14-15 - This year, our CAP National Conference
will be online and FREE!  Try to attend if you can.  There will be many
excellent breakout sessions for both cadets and senior members.

Building Model Aircraft - Within the next couple of weeks, we will be
hosting a session at the Mankato airport to build the Flite Test EZ Glider.

BlackCAP - Red Wing, MN - Emergency Services weekend.  Unfortunately, this
has been postponed until next spring.  Watch the wing calendar for
rescheduled dates.

Minnesota Leadership Academy - 14-18 Oct 2020 - Camp Ripley, Little Falls,
MN. There are three schools depending on your experience level. Airman
Training School (ATS), Non-Commissioned Officer School (NCOS), Basic Cadet
Officer’s Course (BCOC)
