Commander's Remarks:

This week at our weekly meeting, we will be having our PT activity and
preparing for our change of command ceremony.  We will also be doing our
quarterly PT testing weather permitting.  Seniors will also be visiting our
prospective winter location during this meeting.  For our weekly meeting,
we will, as always, be social distancing and wearing our masks in
accordance with MN Wing directives, but will be outside for part of the
evening (weather permitting).  I hope you can attend.

For those that aren’t comfortable meeting in person yet, we can have live
streaming online.  Please email MankatoCAP at gmail.com if you want to join
online instead of in person.  The health and safety of our members is the
utmost importance to us.   We want everyone to stay healthy and follow the
MN Wing guidelines for our Phase 2 protocol which was emailed out to all
members.  It is also listed on the National website at

Announcements:

All Testing  - Please request your test by TUESDAY EVENING AT 2359H The
squadron is under no obligation to complete your tests if not requested in
advance.



Color Guard - Will be meeting at 18:15 hrs at the airport.  Practice for
Change of Command will be the emphasis for this time block.



Flight Simulators -  Mankato Cadets can fly our flight simulators before
the weekly meeting starting at 1830hrs at the terminal building.



Cyberpatriots -  Our next meeting will be Monday October 26, 2020 from 7 pm
local until 9 pm local at the squadron office. Anyone who is interested,
please come, we will integrate you into the program. Remember your
permission slips.

Bring computers, non-sugar based snacks and water. Anyone with a
CyberPatriot computer from last year, bring it with or return it to 1st Lt
West.

The  Practice Round is now open. Work on the images on your own. If you
want help getting files downloaded Contact 1st Lt West at rwest1 at blc.edu.

We will have a meeting on October 31, 2020 from 9 am until 4 pm to share
what we’ve been learning.

Round 1 - The first competition round will be November 14 starting at 9 am.

Round 2 - The second competition round will be December 12, 2020 starting
at 9 am.

Round 3 - The third competition round will be January 23, 2021 starting at
9 am.



Kansas Wing Encampment - Salinas, KS - Dec. 26, 2020 -Jan. 2, 2021 Cadets
can attend other wing’s encampments with Squadron commander’s approval.
Please consider attending this great training if you are able.
