Commander's Remarks: This week at our weekly meeting, we will be having
Character Development and our monthly Safety class. Minnesota Leadership
Academy in October is a GO for October 14-17.  The application window has
been extended until Oct 4th (for all but RCLS), so I hope you all can
register.  It will be a hybrid this year, with part of it online and part
of it in person.  Check your emails and/or MNCAP.org (link below) for more
information and to register.  Hopefully, we can set up transportation for
the one day in person for those that want to attend.  For our weekly
meeting, we will, as always, be social distancing and wearing our masks in
accordance with MN Wing directives, but will be outside for part of the
evening.  I hope you can attend.

For those that aren’t comfortable meeting in person yet, we will be live
streaming online in our regular online meeting room listed below.  The
health and safety of our members is the utmost importance to us.   We want
everyone to stay healthy and follow the MN Wing guidelines for our Phase 2
protocol which was emailed out to all members.  It is also listed on the

Announcements:

All Testing  - Please request your test by TUESDAY EVENING AT 2359H The
squadron is under no obligation to complete your tests if not requested in
advance.



Color Guard - Will be meeting at 6:15 pm at the airport.  Anyone interested
in joining please attend at that time.



Flight Simulators - Starting Oct 1st -  Mankato Cadets can fly our flight
simulators before the weekly meeting starting at 1830hrs at the terminal
building.



Mankato Cadet Commander Applications - Applications for the new Cadet
commander are open. ANYONE CAN APPLY - Even if you are not ready to be
commander at this time. Deadline is Oct 3rd at 2359h.

Interviews will be held on Oct. 4th through Oct 9th. More information will
be provided once your application is submitted.



Building Model Aircraft - Within the next couple of weeks, we will be
hosting a session at the Mankato airport to build the Flite Test EZ Glider.
Supplies will be provided. Fill out this form

Minnesota Leadership Academy - 14-17 Oct 2020 - Online and Camp Ripley,
Little Falls, MN. There are three schools depending on your experience
level. Airman Training School (ATS), Non-Commissioned Officer School
(NCOS), Basic Cadet Officer’s Course (BCOC).   This year will be a hybrid,
so check out the website for more information.

ATS & NCOS will have virtual classes on Wed, 14 Oct – Fri, 16 Oct

ATS & NCOS will have one in-person day at Camp Ripley on Sat 17 Oct.
COVID-19 precautions will be strictly followed.

RCLS will be meeting online

Registration is open until Oct 4th!

a team and starting in October.


Kansas Wing Encampment - Salinas, KS - Dec. 26, 2020 -Jan. 2, 2021 Cadets
can attend other wing’s encampments with Squadron commander’s approval.
Please consider attending this great training if you are able.
