Commander's Remarks: 
This coming Saturday, February 20 we will be having an Achievement Saturday. This is an opportunity for everyone to work on their next promotion. The new office space continues to function extremely well, so if you haven’t been to our new space please take this opportunity to do so this week for either the weekly meeting or the Achievement Saturday. 
Under Phase II guidelines, units can meet and activities can occur with no more than 50 people in a room. All members will take their temperature at home or by a no-touch thermometer before entering the meeting place. Facial coverings are required indoors, even if social distancing can be maintained. When outdoors, social distancing should be sufficient. All Testing - Requested by Tuesday Evening 2359H. No exceptions. 
Achievement Saturday - Feb. 20 from 0900-1200. An opportunity for cadets to learn about CAP eservices, take drill tests, and online tests with technical assistance. For those who attend you will be able to complete everything on this day that is needed for your next promotion. We will also be giving an opportunity to take the IS100 & IS700 tests.

Professional Development- Achievement Saturday is for Seniors too! We will be working with individual members to see what needs to be done for your next promotion and/or specialty track advancement.This is a great opportunity to make progress on your next promotion so please plan to attend. 

Kwik Trip Cards - Our squadron will be fundraising with these cards this year. There are cards that cost $100 for face value. Cadets are asked to have the money or check for the cards prior to being given them to distribute. Please talk to Lt. Col. 2021 MN Wing Encampment Dates - All activities are being planned at Camp Ripley. Note the CSW and CTW will most likely be hybrid or virtual. EPS and Encampment are dependent upon MN being in phase 3 of COVID-19 remobilization. 
Cadre Selection Exercise (CSE): Mar 12-14
Cadre Training Weekend (CTW): April 29-May 2
Encampment Prep School (EPS): June 4-6
Encampment: Students June 26 - July 3, Staff June 25 - July 4

Mankato Squadron Tan T-Shirt - If interested, we have tan t-shirts with the squadron logo on them that can be worn under the ABU’s.  If you are interested they are $12.00 each.  Please see 2nd Lt. Mader if you are interested.
