Commander's Remarks: 
Col Bill Hienz, the Minnesota Wing Commander, announced that we are now under PHASE 1 of Covid-19 guidelines. This means groups of ten or less can meet in person and we can begin doing orientation flights. However, we will continue to meet online this week and will evaluate how we might be able to meet in person in the future while adhering to the guidelines. . Please note the new Meeting Link is a Zoom link. 

As has now become our custom it is important that everyone be online and present at the meeting, so please follow the following rules: 

Have your cameras on so you are visible to others at all times.
Have your microphone muted unless you are talking or called on to speak.  
Wear your entire uniform, not just the part you think others will see. (You may be asked to stand up, so everyone will be able to see your entire uniform.)  

SENIORS & PARENTS - Please plan to attend this week's meeting! We will be having a separate breakout room for Seniors and Parents of cadets at this meeting to discuss our fundraising efforts. We have the opportunity to make about $2,000 over the next month by selling Kwik Trip gas cards. At this meeting we will be discussing the details of the program and how it works so please plan to attend.

All Testing - Requested by Tuesday Evening 2359H. No exceptions. 
Cyber Patriots - Our next event for CyberPatriot is Competition Round 3 January 22-23, 2021. We will be working from home per CP guidelines. Contact 1st Lt West at rwest1 at blc.edu to coordinate your time slot and which image you will be working on. Download instructions to the competition images will be sent to me on Tuesday evening. I will forward them to the team so that you can download the images ahead of time.
Arrangements for the 3rd round will be scheduled as we go.
Wing Conference IT Team - Anyone interested in assisting with IT for the 2021 virtual spring wing conference should contact Lt Col. Chet Wilberg, the MN Wing IT Officer at cwilberg at mncap.org <mailto:cwilberg at mncap.org> by Jan. 30.  Specify which of the following areas you are interested in in your email as well, it is also required that you have the permission of your squadron commander to participate. 
Video editors – Editing and posting of pre-recorded sessions.
Session Moderators & Assistants – Admitting people to sessions, introducing presenters, recording sessions, etc.
Technical Support for staff/participants
Conference Webmaster – Updating web page throughout the day
2021 MN Wing Encampment Dates - All activities are being planned at Camp Ripley. Note the CSW and CTW will most likely be hybrid or virtual. EPS and Encampment are dependent upon MN being in phase 3 of COVID-19 remobilization. 
Cadre Selection Exercise (CSE): Mar 12-14
Cadre Training Weekend (CTW): April 29-May 2
Encampment Prep School (EPS): June 4-6
Encampment: Students June 26 - July 3, Staff June 25 - July 4
Phase 1 - MN Wing is officially back to Phase 1 of COVID remobilization. The wing commander Col Hienz has said that we can expect to be in Phase 2 shortly. What this means for now is that orientation flights are able to resume and we can meet in groups of 10 or less. 
We will be meeting virtually this week and are planning in person meetings for the future.
Kwik Trip Cards - Our squadron will be fundraising with these cards this year. There are cards for $50 (limited quantities) and $100 for face value. Cadets are asked to have the money or check for the cards prior to being given them to distribute. Please talk to Lt. Col. JoEllen Peters at 5073270362 or jopeters at hickorytech.net <mailto:jopeters at hickorytech.net> to coordinate for these.
