Commander's Remarks: 
Last week we had a great in person meeting and the space was fantastic for our needs, even for drill.  It was great to see everyone and the cadet staff did a great job of making the meeting interesting. Under Phase II guidelines, units can meet, and activities can occur, with no more than 50 people in a room. All members will take their temperature at home or by a no-touch thermometer before entering the meeting place. Facial coverings are required indoors, even if social distancing can be maintained. When outdoors, social distancing should be sufficient.

SENIORS - Please plan to attend this week's meeting! We will be having a separate breakout meeting for Seniors this week to discuss our fundraising efforts, do some professional development training and continue doing our planning for future meetings. I look forward to seeing you there.

Announcements: 
All Testing - Requested by Tuesday Evening 2359H. No exceptions. 
Kwik Trip Cards - Our squadron will be fundraising with these cards this year. There are cards for $50 (limited quantities) and $100 for face value. Cadets are asked to have the money or check for the cards prior to being given them to distribute. Please talk to Lt. Col. JoEllen Peters at 5073270362 or jopeters at hickorytech.net <mailto:jopeters at hickorytech.net> to coordinate for these. 
Professional Development-We will be looking at individual members to see what needs to be done for their next promotion and/or specialty track advancement.
2021 MN Wing Encampment Dates - All activities are being planned at Camp Ripley. Note the CSW and CTW will most likely be hybrid or virtual. EPS and Encampment are dependent upon MN being in phase 3 of COVID-19 remobilization. 
Cadre Selection Exercise (CSE): Mar 12-14
Cadre Training Weekend (CTW): April 29-May 2
Encampment Prep School (EPS): June 4-6
Encampment: Students June 26 - July 3, Staff June 25 - July 4
Achievement Saturday - Feb. 20 from 0900-1200. An opportunity for cadets to learn about CAP eservices and take online tests with technical assistance. For those who attend you will be able to complete everything on this day that is needed for your next promotion. 
Mankato Squadron Tan T-Shirt - If interested, we have tan t-shirts with the squadron logo on them that can be worn under the ABU’s.  If you are interested they are $12.00 each.  Please see 2nd Lt. Mader if you are interested.
Meeting Space - A few individuals have stated they are uncomfortable with our in person meeting format. Note that our new meeting location is much more spacious than our previous accommodations. It provides more than enough room for social distancing. In addition, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and spare disposable masks are provided.
