Commander's Remarks: 
March is off to a great start this month with warm weather and a great Awards Ceremony last week. Now it’s time to move forward and begin our training for the month and plan our calendar for both cadets and seniors. Please remember to sign up for the bowling party for both seniors and cadets. We are planning more fun activities for the squadron for this year to make CAP the place to be for both fun and mission preparation!   

Under Phase II guidelines, units can meet and activities can occur with no more than 50 people in a room. We ask that all members take their temperature at home or by a no-touch thermometer before entering the meeting place. 

Facial coverings are required indoors, even if social distancing can be maintained. When outdoors, social distancing should be sufficient. All Testing - Requested by Tuesday Evening 2359H. No exceptions. 

Bowling Night for Senior and Cadets - Sat. March 27 - At the Mankato Wow-Zone, 1700-1900 in civilian attire. Two rounds of bowling & food will be provided.  Fill out the form below if you plan to attend and remember CAPF 60-80’s. Attendees are asked to provide $5 in advance to Lt. Mader. Kwik Trip Cards - More cards are available, and will be continually. We hope the cards are handy and easy to use. Cadets are asked to have the money or check for the cards prior to being given them to distribute. Please talk to Lt. Col. JoEllen Peters at 507-327-0362 or jopeters at hickorytech.net <mailto:jopeters at hickorytech.net> to coordinate for these to continue supporting our squadron. 

2021 MN Wing Encampment Dates - All activities are being planned at Camp Ripley. Note the CSW and CTW will most likely be hybrid or virtual. EPS and Encampment are dependent upon MN being in phase 3 of COVID-19 remobilization. 
Cadre Selection Exercise (CSE): Mar 12-14
Cadre Training Weekend (CTW): April 29-May 2
Encampment Prep School (EPS): June 4-6
Encampment: Students June 26 - July 3, Staff June 25 - July 4

Mankato Squadron Tan T-Shirt - If interested, we have tan t-shirts with the squadron logo on them that can be worn under the ABU’s.  If you are interested they are $12.00 each.  Please see 2nd Lt. Mader if you are interested.
