Commander's Remarks: SENIORS, PARENTS, AND CADETS 
ALL PILOTS THIS WEEK, THERE WILL BE A MONTHLY PILOT MEETING. If you are a pilot or a cadet pilot, you are highly encouraged to attend this briefing led by Lt. Col. Peters. 

Next Thursday is Thanksgiving so this will be the last meeting of this month so plan to attend! November and December will both be short months with only three meetings held each month, so let’s make each meeting count by having great attendance at each!   

Phase II COVID:  Our wing is now under Phase II COVID restrictions. Due to this status change, we ask that all members take their temperature at home or by a no-touch thermometer before entering the meeting place. Facial coverings are required indoors. Cadet Wings Program

Merit-based program for cadets pursuing a private pilot certificate; ultra-competitive... new diamond of cadet life
Be sure to read the Cadet Wings Student Guide CAPP60-43 for program details and eligibility requirements.
Funded by the U.S. Air Force's Youth Aviation Initiative and the James C. Ray Flight Training Scholarship
Must meet basic eligibility requirements: 
1. Be a current CAP Cadet in good standing.
2. Apply via CadetInvest in eServices.
How to Apply: 
1. Log onto eServices.
2. From the CAP Utilities on the left side, select "Cadet Programs," and then select the "CadetInvest" application
3. Go through each of the five steps, making sure you complete everything. 
4. Be sure to check upload requirements on step 6.
5. Those applying for Cadet Wings Ray Foundation funding must have a "Navigator" who will submit a letter of recommendation.
6. Go to step 7 and submit the application prior to the published deadline. Dec. 31st 1200 cst

Mankato Cadet Commander Applications - Applications for the new Cadet Commander are open. ANYONE CAN APPLY - Even if you are not ready to be commander at this time. Deadline is Nov 15th at 2359h. To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume to mankatocap at gmail.com Interviews will be held on Nov 15th through Nov 24th.  More information will be provided once you submit your application. 

Achievement Saturday / ES Training & Sign off 
November 20, 2021 @ 9:00 am at the TacAero Office. This is an excellent opportunity to have some focused time to work on your next promotion.  

Kwik Trip Cards - More $100 cards are available. Contact Lt Col Peters at 507-327-0362 or jopeters at hickorytech.net to coordinate. 

Cadet Orientation Flights - Contact/text SM Wittenburg at +1 (319) 929-0445 or Madison.Wittenburg at outlook.com  if interested. She will be the orientation pilot this week. Priority is given to those that have never had one or those getting close to 18 years old.

Color Guard - Those interested in joining Colorguard should contact C/CMSgt Beiswanger for more information. Colorguard practice starts at 1815 (6:15 pm).  

Mankato Squadron Tan T-Shirt - If interested, we have tan t-shirts with the squadron logo on them that can be worn under the ABU’s.  If you are interested, they are $12.00 each.  Please see 2nd Lt. Mader if you are interested.
