Commander's Remarks: SENIORS, PARENTS AND CADETS
This week will be Blues night with awards and promotion for the cadets who have earned a promotion over the past month. This is a great opportunity for us as a squadron to pull together and support the hard work of our cadets. The following cadets will be promoting:

       C/CMSgt Caleb Robrahn
We will be having the final UBX organizational planning meeting for our October 9th UBX. (Unit Based Exercise)  We currently have 27 cadets and seniors signed up for this activity! We now have the Eagle Lake Fire Department joining us for this Exercise as well as the North Hennepin Squadron. We need every Senior, Parent and Cadet to participate to make this activity fun and exciting.

Announcements: 
All Testing - Requested by Tuesday Evening 2359H. No exceptions. This is done through the squadron website. Link: https://mn048.cap.gov/

UBX - Squadron Unit Base Activity - October 9th, 2021.  We would like to have as many cadets and seniors attend as possible.  This event will begin at 800 hrs at the airport terminal for training and then move to the field for hands-on training. Bring your lunch and a signed 60-80 to this event. Watch for future emails about the UBX. 

Kwik Trip Cards - More $100 cards are available. Contact Lt Col Peters at 507-327-0362 or jopeters at hickorytech.net to coordinate. 

CyberPatriot - Cadets participating in this year’s competition will need a CAPF 60-80 to register. Give the completed form to 1st Lt West.  CAPF 60-80 link. 

Cadet Orientation Flights - Contact/text SM Wittenburg at +1 (319) 929-0445 or Madison.Wittenburg at outlook.com  if interested. She will be the orientation pilot this week. Priority is given to those that have never had one or those getting close to 18 years old.

Color Guard - Those interested in joining Colorguard should contact C/SMSgt Beiswanger, for more information. Colorguard practice starts at 1815 (6:15 pm).  

Mankato Squadron Tan T-Shirt - If interested, we have tan t-shirts with the squadron logo on them that can be worn under the ABU’s.  If you are interested, they are $12.00 each.  Please see 2nd Lt. Mader if you are interested.

Squadron YouTube Channel - One of our staff members has set up a YouTube channel. It is a tool to help show you where to find things like Online Testing and Testing Request Forms.
