Commander's Remarks: 
Do you want to learn to fly a drone? Cadets who wish to practice flying one or more of the drones THIS WEEK must complete the online TRUST TEST from the FAA.  This is a free test that should only take about 15 minutes to take, and when passed provides a certificate that should be brought to the meeting on September 16th. Cadets and Seniors sign-up for the UBX as soon as possible so we can plan this event. This will be a great opportunity to work on your emergency services skills in the field. This UBX will only be successful if we have a large number of members participating, so sign up today! 

Cadet’s don’t forget to sign-up for Cyber Patriots so you can represent us in the Wing Competitions. Training will begin soon with SM Natrakul. We have a top notch office space in which to practice, super fast internet and a professional cyber security professional leading our team. Become part of this winning team and sign-up today.

Announcements: 

All Testing - Requested by Tuesday Evening 2359H. No exceptions. 

Annual Inventory - We will be doing our annual inventory on September 18 from 1300 to 1600 hrs (1 pm to 4 pm) to coincide with the Achievement Saturday activities. 

Achievement Saturday - September 18th, 2021, 1300 to 1600 hrs (1pm to 4 pm).  We will be working on what is needed for completion for the next promotion.  All newer cadets, we will be having a training session on eServices to help you navigate the site for promotions.

Squadron Fall Apparel Order:  Due by September 20th, 2021.  Check your email for the ordering instructions.  The orders will be completed 2-3 weeks after that. Each person that orders is responsible for picking up their own orders at United Team Elite in North Mankato.

MLA - Seniors 
Senior Staff Applications for the 2021 Minnesota Leadership Academy are now open!  MLA is 20-24 October 2021 at Camp Ripley. We are looking for class instructors, school advisors, and HQ staff.

CyberPatriot - Cadets participating in this year’s competition will need a CAPF 60-80 to register. Give the completed form to 1st Lt West.  CAPF 60-80 link. 

Cadet Orientation Flights - Contact/text SM Wittenburg at +1 (319) 929-0445 or Madison.Wittenburg at outlook.com  if interested. She will be the orientation pilot this week. Priority is given to those that have never had one or those getting close to 18 years old.

Color Guard - Those interested in joining Colorguard should contact C/SMSgt Beiswanger, for more information. Colorguard practice starts at 1815 (6:15 pm).  

Mankato Squadron Tan T-Shirt - If interested, we have tan t-shirts with the squadron logo on them that can be worn under the ABU’s.  If you are interested, they are $12.00 each.  Please see 2nd Lt. Mader if you are interested.

Squadron YouTube Channel - One of our staff members has set up a YouTube channel. It is a tool to help show you where to find things like Online Testing and Testing Request Forms.
