[Pilots] 2026 National Check Pilot Standardization Course Seminar

Dear MN Wing Pilots,

This email is being send to all Wing Primary Standardization and Evaluation Officers and MN Wing Pilots.

I am pleased to announce that the 2026 National Check Pilot Standardization Course seminar is happening on Saturday, 2 May 2026 from 0900 - 1730.  It is being held at Camp Craig, Hutchinson Municipal Airport.  There will be a Teams virtual access, also.  Please see below.

There is an AF funded Mission, but the Mission isn't active yet.  I've put in an order to NWS for great flying weather for that day!  As a TSA Officer who survived the recent shutdown, I've paid my dues and they owe me!

I am so pleased to inform you that a stellar line-up of Presenters is on tap:
    Dr. David Dare, MD Mayo Clinic Health System - Sleep Medicine
    Ms Laura Hinnemann - FAASafety - Class Bravo Airspace
    Joe Keller, NHQ, CAP DOV
    Capt David Ackerman - NCR DOV*
    Wing Maintenance

*NCR DO Lt Col Jeremy Langrock might present instead.

The focus subject will be CAPF 70-5A-Q, Aircraft Questionnaire and a review on Go-Arounds.  The goal is for all Check Pilots to create an "Answer Sheet" with standardized answers for our airplanes.  If you already have answer sheets, please bring them.

If not

All attendees shall bring three (3) copies of CAPR 70-5A-Q.  We will be filling them out during my presentation.

You will also need the attached spreadsheets.  If you bring your laptop, it will not be necessary to print the spreadsheets.
