[Pilots] LVN CTAF error

Hello MN Wing pilots,

I wanted to make you aware of an error showing up in Foreflight. The CTAF for Airlake airport is showing incorrectly as 123.05. It should show 123.00.
Hopefully it will be corrected with the next update from Foreflight.

Safety Update
Airlake's CTAF is 123.0
Dear Airlake Airport Tenants,

We’re experiencing a critical safety issue involving the Airlake Airport Common Traffic Advisory Frequency (CTAF) displayed in ForeFlight and Garmin.

The correct CTAF for KLVN is 123.0.

However, both ForeFlight and Garmin are currently showing 123.05, which is incorrect.

This discrepancy stems from an error in the FAA Airport Master Record (5010) for LVN, where the future CTAF frequency — 123.05, scheduled to take effect on May 14 at 0901Z — was published prematurely. This early update led both ForeFlight’s and Garmin’s systems to ingest and display the new frequency ahead of schedule.

We have reported this issue to the appropriate FAA offices and submitted urgent technical help tickets requesting immediate correction. Information has also been submitted to the ForeFlight and Garmin teams in hopes of a fast resolution while the FAA works on their end.

Pilots can verify the correct frequency (123.0) by referencing:

  *   The current chart supplement
  *   The current sectional chart and TAC chart
  *   The current Instrument Approach Procedures (IAPs)

In addition, a remark has been added to the AWOS identifying the correct CTAF frequency, MSP Tracon has been made aware of the issue and the flight schools in the area have been contacted as well.

Please help spread the word among your teams and based pilots. Many pilots rely on ForeFlight and Garmin for frequency selection, and we became aware of this issue thanks to vigilant tenants who raised concerns.
