Pilots,
Currently there are only 2 metro airplanes flying: Lakeville and Lake Elmo.
As always, it's important to be respectful of other pilots who will use the Lakeville airplane, particularly now that our Flight Operations are being challenged.
To maximize availability, please don't reserve the airplane for briefing and debriefing time.
As 130th's Primary Operations Officer, I anticipate the Lakeville airplane will see a significant increase in usage, which will likely see a significant increase in small mishaps, particularly tire flat spots and tail tiedown ring contacts.
N413CA already has a wee flat spot on its Right main tire. Thorough pre- and post-flight inspections are necessary. Also, the airplane has 3 Discrepancies in AMRAD. Always check Discrepancies before you request a Release. The ORM form asks if you have checked for Discrepancies. Do not assume N413CA is clear.
Lakeville is blessed with a hangar with plenty of clear space around it but still be aware of hangar rash. MNWNG is famous for damaging airplanes with hangar rash. I will not be very compliant with pilots that damage our airplane at Lakeville.
As always, fly Safely.
