In our C172 P and N models that have the upgraded avionics package to G650 or G400, the preflight checklist will have an item verifying that the avionics cooling fan is audible. <div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">The problem is that the G650 and G400 have internal cooling mechanisms that you won’t hear. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">We are working with NHQ to correct the checklists but in the meantime just be aware of this. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Jerry Rosendahl, Lt Col, CAP</div><div dir="auto">MN Wing AMO</div>
