Commander's Remarks: 
This week will have a lot of opportunities for everyone to have a lot of fun with CAP activities. Starting Thursday night we’ll be having PT so dress appropriately for the weather. This Saturday morning at 8:30 am we’ll be having our first Fun Run training. There will be light snacks available after the run, so again dress for the weather and make sure you bring your running shoes. The third activity will be our Seniors and Cadets bowling night which will be a lot of fun. I hope everyone will take the opportunity to participate in as many of these activities as possible.   

Seniors and Cadet remember to sign up for the bowling party and turn in your $5 this week to save your spot! We are planning more fun activities for the squadron in the coming months to make CAP the place to be for fun and mission preparation! 

We ask that all members take their temperature at home or by a no-touch thermometer before entering the meeting place. Facial coverings are required indoors, even if social distancing can be maintained. When outdoors, social distancing should be sufficient. Mankato Squadron Fun Run Fundraiser - In an effort to promote physical fitness, our squadron will be doing a fundraiser run on May 22, at Bluff Park in Mankato. Bowling Night for Senior and Cadets - Sat. March 27 - At the Mankato Wow-Zone, 1700-1900 in civilian attire. Two rounds of bowling & food will be provided. 2021 MN Wing Encampment Dates - All activities are being planned at Camp Ripley. Note the CSW and CTW will most likely be hybrid or virtual. EPS and Encampment are dependent upon MN being in phase 3 of COVID-19 remobilization. 

Cadre Training Weekend (CTW): April 29-May 2
Encampment Prep School (EPS): June 4-6
Encampment: Students June 26 - July 3, Staff June 25 - July 4

Mankato Squadron Tan T-Shirt - If interested, we have tan t-shirts with the squadron logo on them that can be worn under the ABU’s.  If you are interested they are $12.00 each.  Please see 2nd Lt. Mader if you are interested.
