Hello MN wing pilots,

Hard to believe we are already on the back side of July, and for that
matter the back side of summer!
We have been doing a great job of getting out and flying our planes this
year. A recap of where we are at so far this fiscal year:

If you haven't done your 4th quarter proficiency flight yet, try to get
that done soon. September and the end of the fiscal year will come up
quickly and we want to show the Air Force that we will use proficiency
flight funding to maintain good expertness in our flying skills.
There is also plenty of funding remaining in this year's flight clinic, so
if you have a form 5 coming up, its a great way to get a warmup flight to
brush up on any maneuvers you need to work on before taking your check ride.

Some other good news for the wing, the glider that was previously in Iowa
wing has been permanently transferred to MN wing. So our glider program
will continue for the remainder of the glider flying season. The glider
crew has been doing an outstanding job getting flights done with the
glider, so if your squadron hasn't had enough opportunity to fly in the
glider, contact Tom Fitzhenry or Carl Halum to get on the schedule.
