Good Afternoon Everyone,

Just a reminder to take notice of the new aircraft rates.

DOs, please post them near the aircraft.

All billing is done through the online billing portal at the end of the month. You need to make sure that you pay your online invoice in a timely manner, or your flying privileges may be restricted, and your squadron will be liable for any unpaid amounts. It is not the job of MNWG/Finance to track us down and plead with us to make our payments.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Fly Safe. Fly Often.

Minnesota Wing Pilots,

Thanks to all of you who were able to take advantage of the reduced aircraft rates over the past two months (see below email) to improve your flight proficiency, training, and readiness. Having reviewed the budgets, your Minnesota Wing Finance Committee has voted to restore the previous flying dry rates, effective 1 July 2023:

Aircraft

Pilot Rate

C172

$39.00/hr

C182

$44.00/hr

This is still the most cost-effective flying you're likely to find anywhere - and we are working hard to keep it that way.

Thanks for all you do to contribute to our communities, state and nation through Minnesota Wing, Civil Air Patrol! Much appreciated.

Minnesota Wing,

In our continuing effort to highlight the "Air" in Civil Air Patrol, and after reviewing our MnDOT Aeronautics flying allocation, we are pleased to announce that the following aircraft dry rates are being significantly reduced, for "B" and "C" missions, effective 1 May 2023:

Aircraft

Current Rate

New Rate

C172

$39.00/hr

$23.00/hr

C182

$44.00/hr

$25.00/hr

This is a reduction of more than 40%! CAP continues to offer the most cost-effective flying you are likely to find anywhere.

Our goal is to keep this rate reduction in place until 30 June 2023. Please keep in mind that this is a fluid situation, so take advantage while you can. The Minnesota Wing Finance Committee reviews the flying budget regularly, and rates will be returned to normal before 30 June if needed.

Spring is a great time to fly, and with CAP, your flying dollars go further. Now is the time to maintain and increase proficiency and otherwise safely take advantage of the great opportunities these lower rates provide.

Thank you,
