Hello MN Wing pilots,

We are closing in on completing another fiscal year. It has been a great
year for our operations in the flight department.
We are currently over 800 flying hours ahead of where we were at this time
last year, AND we have an excellent record in taking care of our airplanes.
There was only one tail scap incident and one hangar rash so far this
fiscal year. A great accomplishment considering we have flown over 3100
hour!

Currently MN wing has 107 qualified pilots, with 57 being Mission pilot
qualified.

For those that are looking for some end of the year funded flying, here is
where we stand on current mission funding:
A7 - Form 5/91 $452 left in the budget. As long as the weather is good, it
may be a great time to get Oct or Nov form 5 done, or add on additional
qualifications.
A15 - Cadet orientation $503 left. We have done an outstanding job with
cadet flights this year with 756 completed powered and over 200 glider.
Still probably some cadets out there that would love to
get an O flight this month!
A0/A24 Onboarding $645 left. Still have plenty of funding to get new
members flying!
A12 proficiency $0 We have exhausted the funding on this mission for the
year.
A17 flight clinic $154 Enough for one or two flights
A5 mission 23-T-4862 scanner observer training $102.
A5 mission 23-T- 5008 Transport mission pilot training $241
A5 mission 23-T-5257 Wing wide exercise $534, contact Sgt Vance with your
training plan for approval.

A reminder that funded missions will be closing on Sept 25

Finally I come to the part that nobody wants to talk about, paperwork. We
have done pretty well keeping up on all the required recordkeeping, just a
reminder to make sure you are uploading supporting documentation when
adding qualifications. Make sure to complete the flight logs and 10vez
forms completely and accurately. After flights make sure you are completing
the post flight inspection and leaving the aircraft in the correct
configuration for the next crew. (gust lock in, switches all off, fuel
selector in left or right position, bugs cleaned off, flags attached,
chocks in place) We want to maintain our vigilance and protect our great
safety record for this year!

I have attached a link to this month's edition of the NHQ stat/eval
newsletter.
