[Pilots] AMO Report

*1.)  Open Discrepancies - 30: * In addition to the routine oil changes and
inspections, we have some seat issues, some radio & avionics issues, and
corrosion treatments due. Full report is attached.

*2.) Aircraft Status:*  Technically speaking all 16 airplanes and 1 glider
are available for flight as I'm writing this. However, N9834L is waiting on
a GPS software update, N369CP is 3.3 hours from 100 hour/annual inspection,
N643CP is 5.3 hours from 100 hour/annual inspection, and N50935 is 9.8
hours from 100 hour/annual inspection! And of course, there are others that
will be due right after those are completed.

*3.)  Why don't we have more **airplanes?*  There are only 4 Wings in the
entire CAP fleet that have more airplanes than MN Wing! When your squadron
is without an airplane while maintenance is being done or when it's been
moved to another squadron that flies more, be happy that we have as many as
we have. As I said last month, fly it or lose it applies to squadron level
as well as Wing level.

*4.)  Flying hours comparisons:*  Seven squadrons have flown at or above
the target of 200 Hobbs hours for this fiscal year (pro-rated through
today) - 130th, Viking, Mankato, North Hennepin, St. Croix, Anoka and
Stanton. MN Wing DOV Bestul reported in his newsletter today about the
increase in hours over last year.

That's the good news - the "other news" is that we rank 32nd in the nation
for flying hours average this fiscal year. We are 2nd in the North Central
Region, however.
