*MN Wing Aircraft Maintenance Report:*
1.) *Open discrepancies* list (29) attached. Some wording has been changed
for this report.
2.) Currently have 3 aircraft *DOWN for maintenance issues*. N837CP is
still at Wipaire waiting for parts for the autopilot, N878CP is at Stanton
waiting for the prop governor overhaul which should be ready tomorrow, and
N98424 is at Stanton for its 100 hour/annual inspection.
3.) Next up on the *maintenance schedule* are 3 aircraft for oil changes
and/or 100 hour/annual inspections - N643CP, N828CP and N853CP. Other items
on the discrepancies list will be dealt with as they come into maintenance
or as parts are available.
4.) *NO CAP Pilot* should ever need to change the CAP ID (CAP2150, etc) on
one of our aircraft. Air Force and NHQ personnel are the only ones needing
to do this. We recently found out that one of our aircraft CAP IDs hadn't
been in the system since April.
5.) Pilots need to recognize that waiting for parts takes time, sometimes
lots of time. In addition to the mere ordering, delivery and scheduling
process, anything over $750 requires NHQ approval, and that includes most
everything on an airplane!
6.) Every month it seems I run into lack of communications issues within a
squadron. Please make sure that everyone is informed about aircraft moves,
maintenance issues, etc.
7.) I've said this before several times - report to me via email or text
when you wash your aircraft. I'll put it in AMRAD. Yes, this is tracked and
viewed by NHQ and the Air Force.
8.) We are still not able to move any aircraft back into the Wing
maintenance hangar after the remodeling project. Having that space
available gives us more options on aircraft movement into and out of
maintenance. At times we're able to perform maintenance at both Stanton and
the Wing hangar which can speed up getting them back out to the squadrons.
9.) Contact me with any aircraft maintenance issues. I prefer to make all
discrepancy entries into AMRAD for consistency, proper wording and faster
coordination with our contractor. Texting me pictures of your issue is
always a plus.
