2.) Aircraft Status:

A.) Available - 15

B.) Unavailable - 1 (N9912L transponder replacement)

3.) June Lookahead:

N643CP IFR certs due

0 annuals due

N828CP calendar oil change due

N369CP 100 hour inspection due

N98424 left mag overhaul

N9912L right mag overhaul

4.) Miscellaneous AMO Issues:

A.) Very active flying has kicked in for most squadrons, and what goes with
that is an equal amount of activity in aircraft maintenance. Pilots must
recognize the importance of keeping up to date on all maintenance items
even if it requires rescheduling or delaying flights.

B.) Pilots - please don't solely rely on your squadron director of
operations for monitoring the AIF cover sheet and tach times due and
calendar items due. You will be the person in the spotlight if you overfly.

C.) Wing DO Wolfgram will be dealing with the Wing Fleet Readiness Day at
the Wing staff meeting, but everyone needs to know that at the direction of
the National Commander we did an audit on all of the logbooks for the
entire fleet and verified all information in AMRAD is correct. We also used
the O Flight Day to verify that all known discrepancies are in AMRAD.

D.) Glider operations have started off with a bang. The glider operations
staff caught up in a hurry after weather delays at the start of May. I
believe they're nearing 100 sorties flown so far this year.

E.) In an earlier email that I sent to all pilots I asked for help in
determining what loose equipment were in the airplanes. I was very
disappointed in the return I got. Only 6 squadrons reported in with the
information I requested. I completed the survey on the other 10 airplanes.

F.) This coming week we will be providing a C172 to Wisconsin for the
national flight academy at Oshkosh. As of this writing I am not sure which
airplane will be going. We're watching maintenance item needs on all
airplanes to determine which one goes.

G.) My preference is that all discrepancies come to me via email, text or
phone call. I prefer text.

H.) Oil change due dates have changed - as per NHQ. We used to go to the
end of the month, as we do with many other FAA requirements. The
manufacturer of the engines has clarified that they want a 4 month time
frame, which goes from (example) May 17 to Sept 17. Not the end of August.
Please watch those due dates on the AIF cover sheet.

I.) Oil change tach times also need to be checked carefully - because now
the 100 hour inspection may show an earlier tach time than the 50 hour oil
change. You need to look at all the information on the AIF cover sheet for
this information - and because it's the #1 item on the airplane checklist!

J.) Please contact me if you have any airplane maintenance questions or
comments.
